Summary: Amazzing CD
Comment: See my favorites actors playing and singing amazzing songs, is the thing was never happened to me. In my country don't have this CD and stuffs to sell, so i found in amazon.com. Hugh Laurie playing piano and Greg Grunberg on drums, that's is the best thing happened.

Summary: One of the best concert cd/dvds I have ever owned
Comment: This is probably one of, if not the best concert cd/dvd I have ever seen. I never knew the band existed until Greg Grunberg (the drummer and actor from Heroes) told me about them. Not being able to preview any of the music, I held off purchasing this set for several weeks but now I'm realizing how big of a mistake that was. What really put me over the top to want to purchase this was the fact that the proceeds from the set go towards several charities. When I received the set, I immediately started listening to it in my car and watching the dvd at dinner. I was amazed at just how good the band is. I let my dad who is a big lover of good music borrow it and even he was amazed at how good it was (he is rather picky about music and concert dvds in particular). I now have a copy ordered from Amazon for him on the way as a late Christmas present. The music is amazing and the band has much better chemistry than most big name groups. It is clear that they really enjoy what they are doing and that they are doing it for a great cause.

Comment: I have been waiting for this CD to come out...Of course, I love Hugh Laurie, and the other actors, but I wanted to see how they played together in a Band. I was not disappointed;and the fact that ALL proceeds go to Charities was even better! I also loved the DVD portion..so do buy this CD, you'll be glad you did.

Summary: Totally rocks
Comment: Fantastic to both watch and listen to. You can feel the energy of the band listening on cd and get double the enjoyment when watching the dvd. It's great to see so many famous faces doing their bit for charity and showing off their talent. Recommend whole-heartly to anyone who is a fan of any of the people involved or anyone who enjoys american rock.

Summary: This is a lot more and a lot bigger than it looks on the surface.
Comment: Band From TV Hogging All the Covers is a wonderful example of what love can do. I bought 2 off Amazon and a large stack at the Grove in Los Angeles where Band from TV performed for the tree lighting ceremony. This isn't a novelty band like Russell Crow's or Jeff Goldblum or Dennis Quaid's band. This isn't a vanity project at all. This was made out of pure love by creative people who wanted to make a selfless and charitable difference while having fun. The music is solid. Notably missing however is their excellent interpretation of the Cab Calloway classic "Minnie the Moocher" but I got over that pretty quickly. There's something for everyone on this dvd/cd combo. Buy it for the music. Buy it for the Charities, buy it to send a message that things like this can and do make a difference. I hope this continues and I look forward to their next product. Much more than that however I hope Band From Tv can serve as a template for other public entertainment figures to take what they do best and put their considerable profile to a task much greater than any one person, career or celebrity can be. There's no ego here. Just music, entertainment and caring. Buy it, support it, and don't let efforts like this die due to apathy.
