I don't know where the layer of UV protection is, however, and that bugs me. I would like it between layers in the lens, instead of on the surface. If anybody from the company actually reads these reviews, they may want to note that. The nose rest could be a little wider too, but that is minor. All in all, as I said, pretty good shades.
