Summary: Expensive, has Aspirin, and has Benadryl in it
Comment: This is a very expensive sleeping aid. It, like most other sleeping pills, has diphenhydramine as its main active ingredient, wich causes sedation (lasts about 8-12 hours) and thus makes one sleepy. Diphenhydramine is an anti-histamine, so it works for itching and allergies too. The main draw-back to any product with diphenhydramine is the morning hang-over you will have until your body metabolizes all the active ingredient. It may also cause urinary retention, dry mouth, and gait instability.
If you just need a cheap sleeping aid, there are generic diphenhydramine products available for sleep. Be aware that every medication has side effects, and so does diphenhydramine. Diphenhydramine often causes bladder/urintary tract discomfort in men with prostatitis. Do not take this product if you have prostatitis, as it will increase your pain.
This product also has aspirin in it as well. Why do you need aspirin in a sleeping aid?
High cost, aspirin addition, and brand-name, are all negatives in my opinion. I'd opt for a generic diphenhydramine product or a natural sleeping aid that has melatonin and/or valerian root, and/or L-Tryptophan.
